Authentic Vacations Adventures – Travel Responsibly, Travel Prepared

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience, Authentic Vacations Adventures requires all clients to have the proper travel documents before starting their journey to Tanzania or any destination we operate in. It is the traveler’s responsibility to meet all immigration, visa, and health entry requirements.

1. Passport Requirements

  • All travelers must hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond the planned date of entry into Tanzania.

  • Your passport should have at least two blank pages for visa stamps and entry/exit permits.

2. Visa Requirements

  • Most travelers to Tanzania require a visa, which can be obtained:

    • Online via the Tanzania Immigration eVisa portal: https://visa.immigration.go.tz

    • On arrival at major international airports (for eligible nationalities)

    • From a Tanzanian embassy or consulate in your home country

Types of Visas:

  • Tourist Visa – Valid for up to 90 days

  • Transit Visa – For short stays en route to another destination

  • East Africa Tourist Visa – Covers travel in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda (available via partner countries)

Note: Visa regulations can change without notice. We recommend verifying entry requirements with your local Tanzanian embassy or official immigration website.

3. Health and Vaccination Documents

  • A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from or transiting through a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.

  • Covid-19 regulations (if in place at the time of travel) may require:

    • Vaccination certificate or

    • Negative PCR test taken within a specific timeframe

Other recommended vaccinations include:

  • Hepatitis A and B

  • Typhoid

  • Tetanus

  • Malaria prophylaxis (recommended but not a document requirement)

4. Travel Insurance Documentation

  • Although not an entry requirement, all clients are strongly advised to carry a copy of their travel insurance policy, including emergency contact numbers and coverage details.

  • Proof of coverage may be requested before engaging in high-risk activities such as trekking or wildlife safaris.

5. Copies and Backups

We recommend that travelers:

  • Carry photocopies and digital scans of important documents (passport, visa, insurance, etc.)

  • Email copies to themselves or store them securely in the cloud

  • Share a copy with a trusted family member or friend

6. Responsibility

  • Authentic Vacations Adventures is not responsible for clients denied entry due to missing, expired, or incorrect travel documents.

  • Any costs resulting from delays, re-routing, or missed services due to document issues are the client’s responsibility.
