Day 2: Arusha to Shira Gate to Simba Camp
We depart Arusha and drive to the Shira Gate at 11,800 feet. After registration, we trek through the enchanting heath zone where exotic plants like the giant heather thrive. This gentle trek is crucial for acclimatization and ends at Simba Camp at 12,500 feet.
Day 3: Simba Camp to Shira 2 Camp
As you adapt to the altitude, we continue our trek across the Shira Plateau, one of the highest plateaus on earth. The hike offers stunning views of the mountain and is vital for your acclimatization. Our camp for the night, Shira 2 Camp, sits at an elevation of 12,600 feet.
Day 4: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp
